Here’s a list of monsoon-season spots in and around Udaipur.
With a few days left to enjoy the soothing monsoon season of Udaipur, we’ve decided to ease your task of deciding where to land once the clouds start showering; natives of Udaipur are familiar with most of the places listed below, but for tourists: ‘The Trip to Udaipur’ will become ‘The Ultimate Trip to Udaipur’ if they add these places to their itinerary in this monsoon season.
We’ve developed two lists: “Monsoon places in Udaipur.”
Famous places to visit in Udaipur in monsoon season:
- Monsoon palace.
As the name suggests, Maharana Sajjan Singh built the Monsoon Palace, also known as Sajjangarh, to stare at the monsoon clouds from near and enjoy the city’s aerial view from 3100 feet above sea level.
Monsoon Palace is accessible before 7 pm per Forest Department security restrictions.
- Panna boat museum:
Inaugurated in 2014 by our esteemed CM Vasundhara Raje, it is a ship-shaped museum on the Goverdhan Sagar Lake; this lake lies on the outskirts of Udaipur but is well-maintained and merits a lot of attention presently. The Panna Boat Museum showcases Panna Dhai’s sacrifice for Mewar. You can learn about Panna Dhai and enjoy the weather alongside the gorgeous lake.
